How did the conception hatch?
Key to the TENGA EGG conception was Masa Sato (Director at TENGA at the time, now Director of TENGA Healthcare) who wanted to create a product that was as stimulating as the TENGA CUP Series, but less cumbersome. He furthermore wanted the user to have greater control over the stimulation which was a little harder with the hard outer casing of the TENGA CUP.
The inspiration came when Sato removed the sleeve of a TENGA CUP and noticed that the material was incredibly stretchy. He further noted that when the elastomer was stretched, the nubs and ribs that created the stimulation moved with the item. Following several prototypes which then went through a number of rounds of thorough testing and consumer feedback, the TENGA EGG was hatched.
